Station veteran Steve Craig helms middays and is also the station’s Programming Director. Like fellow 99X alums, he was a modern tastemaker when hosting middays from 1992 to 2007. Since the reboot of 99X in early 2023, the audience has repeatedly asked for the return of Steve and "Steve’s College of Musical Knowledge” to the air. So, everybody wins!

Steve is a 30+ year resident of Atlanta and has spent all of those years behind a mic. You likely recognize his voice as current announcer for the Atlanta Gladiators and Atlanta United. He was previously announcer for the now-defunct Atlanta Thrashers.

Post 99X, Steve worked at modern rock WRXP New York. But he couldn’t stay away from our little Mecca in the South and returned to Atlanta three years later, joining Dave FM and then WSRV.

Steve has an insatiable appetite for music and sports. He is also just a really nice guy and pilot who works for Angel Flight when he can fit it into the schedule.
