About Me:
Hi, my name is Axel Lowe.
I was here at the beginning of 99X (October 1992). After 3 years at our sister station, Rock 100.5, I'm back and really excited about all of this great new music on 99X! I take pride in knowing that this station was among the first great Alternative radio stations in the country. There's a lot of incredible heritage to 99X but what counts is NOW. And right now 99X sounds better than ever.
I'm hosting mornings here on 99X weekdays 6-10 am. Call in and be a part of the show 404-741-499X.
Even more about me? O.K. I live in Cumming, used to live in Alpharetta but I thought Cumming looked better on the return address when we sent out Christmas cards to relatives around the country. Cumming, really??? Some farmer milking a cow in the 1800's thought, "we have to come up with a name for this joint... eureka!
Hey, I just looked it up, it's named after Col. William Cumming, a hero of the War of 1812. There you go, learn something new every day. I have a wife, Kellye, two daughters, Ava & Vivian. A dog named Loretta, (wife is a Loretta Lynn fan and since we used to live in Alpharetta, it was Loretta from Alpharetta). The cats name is Harley, hey... I have one of those, if you have a bike and want to ride sometime, shoot me an email, axel@99x.com.
Enough about me, I'm really excited to be back at one of the coolest stations in the country, 99X. Thanks for making us a part of your day!

Green Day offered up treats to fans in Colorado: a new song and news of a live album.
When they performed for the people from Denver, they announced that they'll be recording a live album.
They also played a new (or, shall we say 'rare') song at the show, called 'Cigarettes And Valentines'.
Idolator informs us that the track was actually the title to an album which was recorded in 2003 but was never released because the master tapes were stolen.
